Pound for pound best fighter

All,

I'm pretty new to martial arts and have begun watching UFC.

I watched UFC 100, and was really impressed with both Brock Lesnar and Georges St Pierre.

However, i was wandering, pound for pound, who is the best fighter currently fighting in UFC?

Thanks,
matt

    GSP - no doubt

After the last two boring fights - Anderson's gotta point to prove against Forrest.

gsp is better than silva IMO silva is known to be a **** wrestler but his strikign and ground game make up for it as for gsp he is good all round. i hate gsp just because he is that good!

i think hendo will beat silva if they fight again and as for forest fighting silva i hope forest takes it to him and causes a good scrap (if he can handle silvas power)

Yeah as above, GSP number 1, Silva probably number 2

I don't think Hendo has much of a chance against Silva if they do fight again

BJ Penn , GSP, Silva or Machida

If I had to pick an order this would be it:

    1 - Silva
    2 - GSP
    3 - BJ Penn
    4 - Machida

If Machida keeps doing what he is doing he will be the no1 soon.

    I agree 100%

Never argue with an idiot, He'll drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Hendo completely dominated Silva on the ground for the first round of their fight. Unfortunately he did nothing with that domination and ended up getting caught in the second.

If Hendo can make more happen in terms of strikes/submissions through his superior wrestling skills, then he could certainly beat Silva the next time round.

As for best P4P fighter in the UFC? GSP or perhaps Machida.

I think Fedor is rated number 1 p4p in a few rankings, not in the ufc yet but probably soon.

He did take Silva down and win the first round, but like you said he did nothing.
IMO when they fight again it will be more of the same, Hendo takes him down Silva aviods damage and they stand back up and Silva gets the KO or the descion.

there is not much chance of that happening. but yer as said hendo can easy out wrestle silva, he could easy just keep taking him down over and over. he knows that i think he will take the decision over silva by just taking him down over and over for 5 rounds. kinda like gsp on alves

I disagree. I think Silva wins this fight convincingly.
