Powdered Linseeds

Hi guys,

I bought a couple of packets of whole brown linseeds from H&B when they were half price, and I grind them up to add to shakes etc, but how long can I store them once I've ground up a batch?  I've been blitzing a couple of servings at a time in a blender and storing in a small tub in the fridge, but this is getting tiresome so would love to just blitz loads of them and store for a week if I can.

I blitz a kilo at a time. That lasts me about a week and they're fine in the fridge. I know of no evidence that says they deteriorate nutritionally either when done like this.

I don't even keep mine in the fridge, just an air tight tub in the cupboard!

Blended linseeds are stable. See Flax Seed Summary of Storage and Cooking Stability Studies
If linseeds are ground too fine and oil is released, keep it refrigerated & in the dark.

Do you mean keep them refrigerated regardless, or only if gorund too fine?

Only if ground so fine that oil comes out.
