Power exercises

I want to start doing some power exercises. What exercises should I use? For the moment I only do snatch. I don't want to do too similar exercises, and no more than 3. And how much sets, reps should I do?

I read the J5's article about olympic lifting but it seem a bit too much for me. I would like to have only one olympic lifting day.

    how differentdo you want??

ther are only two: snatch and clean+jerk, everything else is just a part of oneof those two lifts. TBH, the snatch is fine.

I'd say functionnal strength. Exercises that develop real strength and power. I also heard about power cleans but I don't know exactly what it is. Is it the same thing than clean and press?

Then for functional strength i would recommend doing some object lifting or some strongman training every so often. Get your deads, squats and good mornings up to a good standard and do some oly lifting. You'll be one strong mofo after that.

If you're after functional strength then maybe sandbag clean and push press or sandbag snatch

simon check my training jounal it revolves round oly lift type evercises. yes true it is centred around snatch and clean and jerk but combine it with m5 sandbags and try loglifts if you have the eqipment. snatch and cj are totally different you can do variations like power snatch, squat snatch, hang snatch, hang snatch, hang power snatch, snatch pulls, hang snatch pulls, all the same with clean movements, deadlifts, clean pulls (deadlifts and shrug together) jerks presses push press power jerks
POWER in oly terms not squating down when catching over head (snatch) or on shoulders (clean phase) HANG is by deadlifting it (maybe with straps to begin until grip is stronger) then start the ex from the knee.
