Powerlifting

I’m looking at possibly competing in a powerlifting meet next summer, does anyone know how I go about finding out dates/signing up etc

Also, which programs do you guys currently run? I’ve been on Sheiko for the last year and getting a bit stale now.

The two main UK federations are IPF (tested) and GPC (non-tested).  You can find out their fixtures from their website.

Each federation has regional committees, so will depend on where you live, plus there's smaller local feds and friendly meets.

There's also BDFPA (British Drug Free Powerlifting Association) which have quite a few local meets.

Look on Facebook, lots of smaller feds use their FB pages to post meets, etc.

I see you’re from Wales, as am I. Will I have to travel to England for most meets or is there quite a few hosted around Wales too?

I’m happy to travel but it’s not ideal, I’ll take a look on Facebook later and see what I can find! Thanks

British Powerlifting (UK IPF affiliate) have a Welsh Powerlifting 'affiliate'. There will be comps in Wales, including a Welsh championship How many compd, not sure.

Asways check out websites for a fed and contact a relevant divisuonsl/area chairman.
