Promax bars at Costco
Just a heads up in case anyone is interested or going to Costco. I was there today and noticed they had their Maximuscle Promax Diet bars (and I think the meal bars) at 12 quid for a box of 12. I picked up a box of Diet bars, they are probably ok at about 20g of protein per bar for a quid and only 220 odd calories. Not the best bar in the world but perfectly passable.

Just wondering if its worth the drive Cheers Chicken is about 6.50 per kg however it is good quality stuff, well compared to supermarkets anyway. It doesn't seem to be pumped full of water. Rice I never buy because you need to buy a sack or massive jar. Not sure about Tuna but I got a pack of white fish, think it was haddock, loins a few weeks ago and it was about half the price I pay in Asda per kg. Salmon is about the same I think, I normally get a huge fillet for about 12kg, which does at least 3 meals for the wife and me.

I'm assuming you mean £12 - because I cannot imagine ANYBODY eating 4kg of fish in one sitting!

The plain cod and smoked haddock are lovely. I also like the vacuum sealed trout fillets from there too.

Not only are the white fish loins half the price of Asda, they definately taste a lot fresher and juicier imo. Similarly for the Salmon, it come out of the oven beautifully and you can get a decent sized portion by cutting it yourself.

I work in Costco Glasgow, they are up Sept/Oct 09 I think - and they are reduced temporarily to get rid of this batch. I'll be buying most of them I think lol. 204 calories, 20 grams of protein and they taste quite good. No other things on particularly good deals just now. Frozen simply chicken breasts 2.2 kg is always cheap and good quality for around £10. And milk - the only other thing I buy regularly.
