Protein - How many g/lb do YOU eat?

Apologies in advance - i imagine this subject has been done to death but I'm interested in how much protein YOU guys currently consume per lb of bodyweight. Lots of info out there saying the bodybuilder needs 1-1.5g/lb but i have just found an interesting (if true?) article saying the 1g/lb is a 'myth', and there is NO advantage in consuming more than 0.82g/lb to 'build' muscle. So what is it... 1-1.5 or 0.82ish??

I have to agree with the article, I studied sports over 20 years ago and all my research and info at the time suggested the same.

For naturals I totally agree with the article (and have posted it a few times myself), people using AAS might want a bit more of course.

I don't count cals so don't count protein either.
But protein (fish/meat/eggs etc) with each meal is a good idea.

^^^That's basically what i do. 20-30g 4 x day in way of 'real' food, and 1-2 protein drinks. Any more and i gain fat / feel bloated.

I shoot for 2g per kilo of lean bodyweight. I believe this to be more than enough.

No biggie like, there are a lot worse things for you than using steroids, I mean I probably shouldn't have been smoking crack or getting into bar fights at your age TBH  - drab4

I used to consume over 350g of protein a day easily... And it was very expensive and I was natural.

For that amount of intake, I saw very little in terms of mega gains.

Now days, at present I'm taking in around 200 to 250 grams. I'm not being strict with my intake either and counting every single gram.

Varies tbh around the 1g-1.5g per kg

If I want to gain weight I simply up kcals. My diet by almost default will have enough protein in it to do the job.

    1g - 1.5 per kg. that's all.

The 1.5g per lb or whatever it is was started by the supplement companies i reckon

Fall in love with the process - and the results will come!
