Protein Power on flight abroad

Whats this gig on this? Travelling to Florida in a few days and will be needing some protien power to take with me. Surely people here must have had experience of this or have any idea on what the regulations are. Does bear an uncanny resemblance to a certain white powder and would rather not go through that whole lark when could buy some abroad.Any experiences?

Cheers,

CW

Dont know... but I've always wondered what the deal is with this.

    Also its Powder not power

I do it because I can,
I can because I want to,
I want to because you said I couldn't

I would take MRPs in a sealed sachet that are clearly labelled to be on the safe side!

Ive taken it on board as well, actually had to open it and taste it once, was creatine quite funny at the time, before i would of suggested contacting the airline but with all the craic with security now i would buy some when i get there, hassle i know but better than losing it then having to buy some

    Here's an idea...

Buy some there when you get there

It will probably be cheaper too in the states IMO

A protien bar or 2 in its sealed packet would be much more wiser.

Without question, under the current conditions, it would have to be tested before you took it on board. The main question they may ask is Why?

I took protein power or 'powder' as i like to call it on holiday to hong kong.
I took a small tub of casein and around 30 mrps and around 20 bars.
No probs at customs and on the way back i brought home 2kilos of dymatize and no-one bothered me.

Never had any problems at all. When I went to states last year I got searched for about 10mins. I had small amount of whey in a plastic bag and I was a bit worried but they took it out, smelt it and just put it back. They just wont bothered with it all. And thats odd for them cos they are usually so fussy.

You can get a tub of whey protein in Walmart for a fiver so I dont bother carrying much out with me anymore.

America is protein shake and bar heaven.

All the 'cafe's' etc on the street sell protein shakes to take away
and all the 'sweet shops' sell bars like they are snicker's bar's.

(well they do in new york)
