Protein blend (gradual release) vs Casein

Protein blend (gradual release) vs Casein

As above, which is best to take before bed and where there may be long gaps between meals?
cant work out if im better off getting a blended protein which usually has whey, milk, egg & soy protein (usually with glutamine added too) or getting 100% casein instead. What different purposes are these products supposed to serve?
I know i could add some PB or other fats to the regular whey i use PWO but this wont be quite as effective will it?

    Yeah you've sort of got it mate.
    Casein forms a thick paste that takes a long time to digest . a decent blend isnt to much different but it will have less casein in and some faster digesting proteins as well.
    Dont over think it, it wont make to much difference either way. You can have either or really and yes you can add good fats to slow down WPC but your right not as effective. 
    The blends were brought out as "any time" proteins you can take them any time and they do the job.
