Protein ice cream....

i dont eat ice cream very often, but see that some MTers do, would it be possible to make a protein ice cream or would it be destroyed in the freezing process like getting destroyed thru heat ??
I have no idea how to make ice cream, just something that i thought about today.

this isn't exactly answering your Q but, i buy low fat ice cream from the supermarket, put some in a bowl, add a scoop of protein and around 15ml of milk. This makes a lovely really really thick thick ice cream drink. I personally eat it with a spoon.

    instant banana ice cream

peel and slice one large banana. freeze until solid.
blend with one scoop whey (i like to use vanilla) and perhaps a dribble of milk if its a bit hard. eat straight away. tastes good with peanut butter blended in too. it doesn't refreeze well though.

this sounds a bit tasty this does misspinky, shame about the refreeze though, would be handy to make a big batch rather than each time i fancied some.

yamahaha - it doesn't matter about refreeze - there won't be any left and it only takes 30secs to make. i usually keep some bananas in the freezer. i sometimes have it as an alternative to shakes (i do find they get boring), eat it straight out of the food processor.

you can get bags of mixed frozen berries from supermarkets that also work well blended with protein. soon you'll become addicted like me - muah-haha!

i just posted an alternate protein ice cream recipe under 'protein delight'.
