HI I have been taking a whey water and crusha no added sugar shake for breakfast an one before bed and training 4 times weekly:- Mon Tues Thurs Fri.... are these the best times to be using them for muscle gain???

Your asking when are the best times to use whey? Well yes around training and just when you wake may be but there is no 'best way'. Whey is a fast protein and these are good time to use it.
However whey before be isprobably not as near what could be described as the 'best way', you want a slower digesting protein here (cottage cheese, quark, milk protein concentrate etc)
Either way, these are only two factes of youw whole diet plan which of course is of overriding importance you you'd look at the big picture 1st THEN worry about these.
