Seen a few online but anyone have a recommendation for a decent pull-up bar for home use please?

sturdy enough and hangs over the door frame with your weight securing it in place. I live in a Victorian tenement with wide, thick door frames and it even fits over them. No need to drill into the frame although I have noticed parts of the paint has began to chip from using it.

If you want to splash the cash on something that will last forever for the garden the best option would be something from Incitefitness - this is my plan once the wife agrees!

I have one similar to the link Gusj posted.

It holds me and my gf so 130kg and that's on a really old door frame. Just take it off and store it when not in use.

    Body Weight - 83kg
    Bench - 145kg
    Squat - 190kg
    Clean & Jerk - 129kg
    Snatch - 98kg

I like that but it's only as solid as the wall it's drilled into.

It's only a big deal if you make it a big deal.

Yes that's true.  I have solid walls, and I used threaded bolts with a chemical resin to secure it.  Was pretty easy to put up though.
