Pull-up form.

Hey, I've been doing quite a few pull-ups recently but everytime I do one my legs swing under me like a half-hanging leg raise as I pull myself above the bar. No matter what I try, I don't seem to be able to correct this, and I know I'll get blasted for it in the Marines as they insist on perfect form on all exercises. Any help on what could be causing this and how I would go about solving it would be greatly appreciated.

Not tried that before, I only started doing them a couple of months ago so sorry if my questions seem daft. :P

I'll try that tomorrow and see how it works, cheers!

    Right.

Tried crossing my legs, didn't seem to help much sadly, but it certainly helped me isolate the problem! Whenever I tensed my trunk, my legs were pulled foward with the contraction and from that point it was almost impossible to regain my composure and form. After discovering this, I just let me lower torso and legs hang like a dead weight whilst I allowed my back and shoulders to take all the strain. The result....

GREAT SUCCESS! Thanks for all the help guys.

Yep, I get this to on the last few reps. How many chins can you do? As you gradualy get stronger only the last few will be like this. Here's me doing 22 chins with crazy form at first but then adjusting it.
