Pushups/free squats

Hi guys,

I need to be able to do 500 free squats/50push ups/50 situps for a tryout. My question is, since I'm bulking up, how to practice this in conjunction with my BB routine. Right now I'm doing a 3-split with chest/triceps (Sat), back/biceps (Mon) and Legs/Shoulders (Thurs).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Depends how important the try-out is to you. If you really want it I'd do a lot less weights and practice those instead.

ooohh...500 free squats...that should be interesting....
I do them once a week at my martial arts class and can just about manage 150...you will need to practice them and carry on drilling them alot...

Sit ups should be easy enough

Press ups keep doing them till you cant do any more drop to your knees and keep going. when you cant do them stand up and do them against the wall this will REALLY burn but it's also good training for the muscles

As for the squats use a barbell (medium weight) squat till failure lessen the weight and keep going (no rest just change the weight and get back on it) work you way down to nothing. when you cant do any more have a rest and start over.

There is also a home made drink you can use that will help reduce the amount of muscle burn you will feel (ill find out what it is)

wouldnt training for strength just make it easier for him to complete the 500squats, etc...?

if he gets stronger then it will all be easier for him to do it...

    when is the deadline?

Thanks guys; I'll look into some of it.

The deadline is in July, so I still got some time.
