[Q] stuck at 85KG for two months but gaining strength?

Hi Guy's,

Not really sure which area on the forum this would be best suited but I've been sitting at 85KG for a good two months now as I'm trying to lean out as my bodyfat is like 25%. Some day's I am 83-84KG but most 85KG's. I'm 5"10.5inches and one thing I find strange is even though I am in a caloric deficit/maintanence I am making good strength gains each week and I feel like I've lost a little fat but still at 85KG? I'm so confused!!! My protein is around 160-180g per day 50-70g fat and carbs vary on gym days and non gym days. I'm roughly eating around 2000-2,500 calories per day and sit on my arse monday to friday as i have an office job (boooo).

I'm loving the strength gains don't get me wrong as I even surprise myself how my strength gains are making good progress each week but yet I'm still the same weight... confused.com! Surely If i was gaining strength I am gainign muscle thus i should be increasing my weight not staying at 85kg?

EDIT: I train 3 times per week and I will now be adding 1/2 cardio sessions per week too.

What is the mirror saying to you?

If you look leaner but are staying the same weight then that's got to be a good thing right?

If you want to lose weight you need to eat less, simple as that. It took me a long time of messing about with macro ratio's, fat burners, ped's etc before I tried just eating a bit less and found it highly effective.

    True story...

I smoke. A lot. And i eat full fat mayo. So suck on that! ;-)

The mirror is telling me I'm building muscle and loosing fat but the scales are telling me I've been 85KG for two months >.<.

I am gaining more strength then loosing fat but I'm not gaining fat but it's just the scales part that is annoying me, surely what i see in the mirror should reflect on the scales?

Not always. the leanest I've ever been I was also the heaviest I've been. 16 stone at 9% bf.

That was bloody hard work to get in that shape. I doubt I'll ever do it again.

Have you got any pics from before and current ones? The scale and the mirror sometimes tell a different story mate.

Unfortunately i biggest mistake was not taking progress pictures! I don't have any before pics from two months ago or even three, four etc. :/ I will start taking pictures because I'm very confused with this.
