Question for the group

Just heading back to the gym tonight after a 10 day layoff due to a pretty vicious flu. Should I try to pick back up with the poundage I was doing (on Frankie's 5x5 program) before getting sick or would a week of lighter weight be better?

If you've been resting and eating well then go for it.

Well you should approach with caution, the illness may have resulted in a small back step but quite possibly not... be honest with yourself and if you need to drop the weight a bit then do!

Let your body dictate what you can and cannot do. You will know quite quickly if you can use the same weight uou were using before your illness.
