Question on Valium/diazapam effecting gains

the title says it all really does valium effect muscle growth/gains? any help would be appreciated!

Freshly turned 23 and hating it old ****ing man

Training for 5 years


pb's (kg)
bench 137.5kg (dont do flat really could be more)
squat 180x1
dead 205x1

    I've never noticed it affecting my gains mate, nor read any studies suggesting that it might

    I think it will have no effect at all

    Not sure tbh mate.

    They help you sleep, so if you have insomnia it may help gains

    There's lots of reasons for avoid benzos, don't think the effects on training is one of them though.

    Benzodiazepines have a long half-life, so if you take a valium, it will stay in your system for a few days, during which time, you might feel like you can't be bothered to train, or you might find that you train at a lower intensity than usual.

    I can't see it helping gains through sleep, as the sleep is deep, but of a poor quality.
