Quick rice question.

When weighing out rice do you weigh it prior to cooking or after?

I have been using the micro rice jobs lately which weigh 250grams. I then split the servings into two 125gram portions and have just one.

I just want to make sure I am not eating too much rice in case its post cooking it`s weighed or pre-cooking.

Cheers

    Hi mate.

Normally weigh it before being cooked.

I.e. if you want ~76grams of carbs for example, then usually with rice thats 100 grams, so weigh 100 grams and then cook it.

After it has been cooked it will hold water and be heavier.
