Race for life:women only events?

Hiya all,

well i did race for life yesterday and it was amazing. atmosphere was brilliant and really good sense of having achieved something when i crossed the finishing line.

I was initially quite wary of doing the race to start off with as I wasnt sure i agreed with women only events like this one. However, after having done it, i think the "women only" exclusiveness added to the atmosphere.

Was jut wondering what you girls thought of women only events. Do you think they contribute to sex segregation or is it just women celebrating together??

feeling a bout of philosophical monday morning...

I see no harm in it personally as it probably encourages more women to join in who wouldn't have done so otherwise.

    Well done on your achievement
