Ha****oxicosis that's what I am going through or as I like to call it fcukin fcuked up severe sh1t

In a nutshell my thyroid is getting attacked by my immune system as for some reason its decided its a threat that needs killing. So whilst the fcukwits are killing my thyroid I go through symptoms of hyper and hypothyroidism which is fun.

Problem is there's not much in the way treatment medically at the minute because of the fluctuations got to wait it out till it's killed off and I am permanently hypothyroid then get the medication to sort it.

The supplements and diet might stop the anti bodies going apesh1t and fighting with my body parts which would help ,problem is I feel so sick I am not eating well at all not great I know but if you feell nausea the last thing you want to do is eat.

Certainly been dropped in at the deep end with all this but I have never had a easy life so this is no fcukin surprise that I have another fight on my hands.

First .time I have ever lost muscle size so drastically when not training I look fcukin **** shoulders, arms, back, chest the lot looks terrible.

On the plus though at least this is something that could be put right with a bit time, there is a lot of terminal people who would change places with me in a heartbeat, very humbling when you think about it.

Is this a final clinical conclusion so that you actually will get some proper medical intervention now?

At least you know whats going on now mate. Doesn't make it any easier but there might be things you can to to ease symptoms at least.

And theres google in the meantime too

DV and Brett

The new doc decided to take a different approach to all this she basically said that the thyroid problems are a result of a auto immune response that could have been triggered from my adrenals becoming exhausted so she suggested we get my body and adrenal response on a more relaxed level and see if thyroid symptoms calm down.

We have eliminated dairy and gluten from my diet and she prescribed 5mg of Valium split in two 2.5 MG's doses daily just to calm things down and all I can say is its working no more shaking, palpitations, anxiety and thyroid swelling has gone right down the fluctuations have stopped its unbelievable the change she has made.

We are still running the supplements but need to include a high dose of vitamin c and magnesium for adrenal recovery.I have never wanted to touch pharmaceutical things so it took her some time to convince me that Valium would help but got to admit she knows her sh1t.It was when she saw the results I got a while back when it showed my cortisol was off the charts that she determined this approach.

I am eating now and have loads more energy I am not recovered by any stretch but Christ I feel a he'll of a lot better.

Just happy I have someone who knows what to do at last never thought thyroid problems could be a result of something else .

Now if I can back training before Xmas even if its a sh1t short session that would be awesome but it could well be on the cards

Nice to hear that the new Doc seems to be thinking about the bigger picture here at least. Onwards and upwards hopefully.

Body really is incredible isn’t it.

Glad you are finally moving in the right direction and sounds like the doc is on point. Great stuff! Just don’t rush that recovery as you know any sort of exercise will increase cortisol and adrenal response.

Cheers lads truly appreciate the support.....thanks

Hom3r cheers yeah she's looking at the full thing not just the symptoms I was convinced it was my thyroid but she tracked it back to my adrenals also there's no forcing meds in apart from Valium its more about the right diet and supplements to aid recovery and its working
.
DV LOL Dr Rad is a bloody scary thought,...cheers mate just seeing and feeling the changes so far is awesome I don't mind admitting I was getting damn worried at how fast things were going to sh1t but now back on track and healing.I don't doubt its going to take a while to recover but its heading the right way.

Ox thanks mate your spot on I can feel a bit progress everyday which just gives you a bit of a lift physically and mentally can't believe the difference it makes.

Brett I am pretty well known for rushing back into things when I am no where near ready but that's sound advice mate which for once I will take on board the last few months have scared the sh1te out of me and I don't want to put myself back there......so going to wait till I am on top of this properly.I am very anti pharmaceuticals but got to admit Valium is class especially with a bottle of wine LOL......Thanks mate

Only thing was my mp3 crapped out so need a new one so off to amazon to order one,a flashy expensive one seen as though the Mrs is paying might chuck a few DVDs in as well LOL

That fact that there are positive changes happening so quickly is a great start and bodes well, but also frustrating that this could have started happening months ago

Brett pan pipes are well chilling I have a CD of native American Indian music that I find unbelievably relaxing might dig it out, whack it on ,pop a Valium, bottle of wine and sit in the recliner now that's what I call recovery LOL

DV its unreal how things are starting to pick up I am still quite far off but heading the right way mentally things are progressing well physically things are a bit slower must have put a hell of a strain on my body as its taking a bit time to recover.Did a few hours work today nothing to taxing but was up and down to the shed for tools etc and suddenly started with the shakes and palpitations so called it a day.Just got be more sensible and not push things.

It is frustrating  but on the other hand if I hadn't found this doc I could have been sent down the wrong path and struggled for years so every cloud an all that and no more fcukin blood tests LOL
