Good to hear things seemed have taken a turn for the better mate, take your time though and don't rush back into training, that's what new years resolutions are for!

I'm always listening to youtube mixes for ways to relax. Love a bit of downtempo or cafe del mar. However I also really like the alternative stuff like pan pipes or flute music. Andalucian, middle eastern or north african are also big favourites of mine, the right mix can be pretty mesmerising at times.

Progressive trance is also a good shout, but I can't really keep still when I listen to that lol.

Thanks Hom3r appreciate it, if I could get just one light session before Xmas would be great but if I am not up to it I will air on the side of caution and that's unusual for me LOL

Its weird how music can effect you and bring things into line I am sh1t at meditation just can't do it but whack on some native american music I chill out no problem.

I once tried a guided meditation on YouTube but just when I was chilled out with gentle music playing the fcuker screamed like a banshee and I was stuck on the roof by my finger nails.......I could have killed the little twat that'll teach me not to read the comments beforehand LMAO

All good news in this journal now. Just some light walking would be good for some conditioning I think, just to get blood moving to aid in recovery.

Obviously you know where your limit is though mate!

Right where do I start ......our new residents moved in today they are practising pagans and reiki masters and have informed us they feel the negative energy in the house and will perform a clearance in the next couple of days. They also want to do some work on me as my chakras are completely messed up as they put it.

Errrrr what can I say LMAO ......don't get me wrong they are lovely people but I am bit worried about lying on a pasting table with my body covered in crystals whilst some weird ceremony takes place.

You know despite it sometimes going a bit sh1t,I love my life it's fcukin bizzare and definitely never dull

Tonight I was sitting on a dining room chair whilst a pagan circled me with a singing crystal bell to try and align my energy fields.......I mean come on isn't my life fcukin class LMFAO

Of course your chakras are messed up, you can't have radness AND balanced chakras. They're trying to stifle the rad, you have to fight this!

Hom3r I am pretty open minded but even this is stretching things if they start chanting and sacrificing chickens I will politely tell them to fcuk off and leave LOL

DV if that's their plan they will fail the medical community with their drugs and trained professionals couldn't tame the radness so the crystal crackers have no fcukin chance J was born unbalanced that's just how I work LOL

Brett can you imagine the battle the pagans and the priests what a awesome fight that would be

Luckily Lou is pre occupied with my site electrics but that's not to say he forgot about the exorcism he is the local nutter in the village and a lot of people avoid him......we have become good mates like my Mrs said like for like LMAO

Okay this might be jumping the gun a bit but I am aiming to try a light session at the end of the week.

I don't want to fall into the trap of putting things off all the time,if it goes t1ts up then I will know its to soon but I would rather try and fail than sit and wait.I know the weights are going to be p1ss poor but I do feel if I can get a session in it would be of huuuuuuge benefit in my recovery.

I know anxiety is a lying bastrad and loves to hold you in a certain place and sometimes you have to challenge it to make any progress.........at the end of the day you can only try it has nothing to do with ego and all to do with recovery so approaching this sensibly and not telling the wife LMAO

If you're feeling like training then it a good sign that your body is turning some of the internal protection systems off. As you say, keep it light; but getting your body moving again will help you manage the anxiety.

Odyysey hopefully your right about things shutting down a bit training is like meditation for me and like you say it will help no end with my anxiety

Ox cheers mate I know your right, its going to be a p1ss poor session weight wise of that I have no doubt in one way its dis heartening but on the other to get back to training whatever I move is a huge plus. That's what I keep telling myself anyway LOL

Okay below is the plan

Day 1 chest/triceps

Bench 4x8 = weight 30kgs
Fly's 3x12 = weight 6 kgs
Incline 4x8 = weight 24 kgs
Pullovers 3x12 = weight 6 kgs

Pushdown 4x8 = weight 14 kgs
Rev grip 3x12 = weight 8 kgs
Rope 4 x8 = weight 10 KGS

STOP LAUGHING YOU HEARTLESS GITS I HAVE BEEN VERY ILL YOU KNOW

What do you reckon? Does this seem OK for a return ?,I know a simple full body would be better but fcuk that I ain't going back to that sh1t I would rather not train than do that LOL

I informed the Mrs of my plans to return back to training by the end of the week FCUUUUUKINNN HELLL it didn't go down to well to say the least.Aaaah women they just don't get it.Asking me I am fcukin mental Jesus she should know by now that I am LOL

I wouldn't even worry about the weights tbh mate, just keep it light and go by how you feel. I wouldn't even have a set routine either, just aim to hit all areas for now, so a full body with minimal exercises would be my preference.

Just ignore the wife, its much easier to.

10 work sets a session is more than enough to start with IMO and gives you loads of room to move on with in the future

I could even argue that 6-8 would be a better start
