Radtastic

Just getting back into training after a big lay off, haven't been a well boy at all over the last few years but things are slowly on the mend ,just got to not push things so routines are short and weights are p1ss poor.
A bit of history..,..........................sto

Routine is a 4 day split legs,back,bis then chest,shoulders,tris
5 sets of 8 on the main ,3 sets of 8 on the rest arms get 4 sets of 8.Just mainly finding my feet at the minute

Today got off to a great start when I blew the fook out of my left knee winching a static caravan onto the hard standing so legs for today at least was out ( this is a normal theme to my journals, but since having had the cartliges removed it's been about as stable as Jack Nicholson in the shining).

So back and bis
Pulldowns 8x32,8x34,8x36,8x40,8x42 (pretty easy)
Facepulls 8x12,8x14,8x14
Curls strict 8x12,8x14,8x16,8x18
Easy session overall all weights can go up
It's sh1t having to go right back to basics but just being able to get back in the gym is a plus at the minute.
Took 3rd dose of arimidex today feel slightly better but still to soon to tell, also cortisol doesn't feel as bad but have to retest in 6 weeks to see if the levels are coming down.

I wouldn't expect anything less than an injury on day 1. I look forward to more of the same from more bizarre and spectacular incidents

    Today chest,shoulders,tris ,shed temp 43°c
    Press 8x62,8x64,8x66,8x68,8x70 (can go up)
    Fly's 8x8,8x8,8x8
Up cable row 8x22,8x24,8x26,8x28,8x30 (can go up)
    Cable straights 8x12,8x12,8x12
Tri rope pulls 8x12,8x14,8x16,8x18 ,(can go up)

Good session overall hit all the reps comfortably, was surprised at bench it felt easy, straight outs were a bit harder than they should be as I was off balance trying to keep the pressure off my knee but can't complain.

Loving the gymano cable station its nowt flash but a good bit of kit.Really need to get something for the shed temp wise it was bloody hot today.

Yeah mate I will post some pics of my little set up its nowt flash bog standard bench with adjusty back bit and cable station.

No campers are allowed to touch the holy gym basically  because my shed is a death trap and I can't afford the medical bills lol

The temp is becoming an issue tbh problem is I have got one of the residents gear piled up at the back and its blocking off the the vents in the back wall so there is no circulating air at the minute so its heating up like a oven.Should have their van sorted in the next few weeks so I can get all the stuff out, its doing my fcukin head in but I can't just chuck it out........the Mrs said it would be wrong LOL

LOL Yeah dog food protein bars could be a winner

    Today legs,back,bis
Tried a light squat and knee said nope ,bit more rest needed
Cable rows 8x30,8x32,8x34,8x36,8x38 ( can easily go up)
Rev grip pulldowns 8x24,8x26,8x28 ( can easily go up)
Sa cable curls 8x6,8x8,8x10,8x12 (should start at 10)

Should have started heavier on back found it easy (there's a sentence you won't see to often in here)
Curls started easy but got to admit 12 had them a bit warm

Good overall I had to back off on leg work my knee just isn't up to it and can't afford for it to get worse.

Another warm one today shed temp was 41°c
Had a little lizard on the wall watching me,probably thinking put some weight on the bar you out of shape sweaty bsatard!!

Room for progression is no bad thing when finding your feet again.

Fvcking lizards, and the Mrs and son screaming around the house at a little spider yesterday, I don't exactly like them but had no worries picking it up in my hand......... then chasing the mrs with it. Heard some new swear words there.

Any obvious swelling or bruising to the knee?

Your right mate its better to go in light than to heavy.

Chasing the Mrs with a spider LOL Should see the size of the fcukers over here there's some huge ones in the shed one reason I don't train at night LOL

My knee has a nasty fluid type swelling on the inside and feels like a tight knot in the back of the leg.I have had it a few times tends to recover in a few weeks just thought I would try it out ,should really know better

I was hoping you'd used word "log" as i got towards the end of that sentance so i could launch a folow up, but alas.

On a serious note, how do you cope training in 41c heat & probably massive humidity? Assuming you've acclimatised quite a bit though as you've been over there a few years now?
