Recent Epi cycle review and delayed gyno
I have taken so much information from these boards that I thought it time I actually do a little writing myself. So to begin I will start with an Epi cycle I did at the beginning of summer. I’ll list reasons etc and what I did and my final position however please don’t think I’m advising people do the same. I will list everything as points of interest rather than a proper journal.
*note, I used epi because the final two weeks I would be on holiday and this was something that in my naive opinion I could fly with and maintain... I do not suggest that anyone does this.
Cycle was 10 weeks Epi at 40mg ed.
Used cycle assist from two weeks before throughout and into pct.
Usual multinvits etc.
Day after last epi dose I began Nolva 20mg ed for 4 weeks.
I have a very good diet, I train weights 3 days a week (one compound per day with circuits etc) and I also train fairly heavily in martial arts 6 days (2-3 hours a day) a week with heavy sparring on 3 of them. I appreciate that this isn’t the ‘norm’ so I’m sorry if this post is a little pointless.
First noticed change in physique on week 3/4 (maybe earlier but hard to say).
Week 4/5 I noticed strength increase a little but physique was definitely changing for the better and muscles were getting harder. Libido also rocketed.
Week 6-8 dramatic strength increase (with an equally dramatic drop in the gas tank, cardio was dead) and my weight exploded gaining approximately 5kg while still lean. I started eating for England. Muscles became solid.
Week 8-10 strength started to plateau, got bigger still peaking at 90kg (I began at 80kg), a little fat now but still prominent abs, muscles were hard as bone - forearms tensed literally felt like bone in places, literally grew out of all of my clothes, shirt buttons couldn’t even reach the holes, my cardio was completely gone, could no longer manage 2-3hour sessions, on some days I couldn’t even finish an hour... also started to feel a little ‘rough’, can’t explain it just felt ‘down’ and was eager to finish the cycle.
I moved to PCT, pushed training very hard to lose the fat and try to keep the gains. Honestly and realistically I THINK I kept approximately 3-3.5kg of muscle. For me, that is exceptionally good, to gain 3-3.5kg of lean muscle is really hard and to do that in 14weeks was great.
Gyno- now I am ‘generally’ not prone to gyno I get the odd nipple tingle or sensitive or sometimes quite soreness but never had real issues and when I feel it coming I just pop nolva until it passes. This happened towards the end of the cycle - no problems.
However, about a month after pct ended I started getting sore nipples again (more prominent in my left), I naively shrugged it off as it had been some time since I had finished pct. idiot me - ended up with a small lump perhaps the size of a pea (or a little less depending on where you get your peas from) beneath the skin on my left nipple. Can’t see it externally so not too concerned. I will actually get a doctor to check as I’ve never had gyno ending in a lump so would like the second opinion. I did some research and some people have reported similar so it’s just a word of warning. I have letro on hand but haven’t felt the need to use it.
So, all in all not a bad cycle that ended it some good lean gains, a bit longer than I had planned for but it is what it is.
