Recommend Supplement for pre/post cycling? [newbie]

Hello everybody I have recently taken up cycling and I can start to already feel my knees and legs taking the brunt of it all. I am 34 years old, 6ft1" tall and I weigh 270LBS (I have taken up cycling to loose weight) So Far Ive lost 31lbs since January
But I was thinking of trying some kind of supplements to drink before or after a good hour long cycle session daily.
Please can somebody point me in the right direction of what I should try either before or after a cycle ride. something that will help my legs and will possibly help calories to burn after?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Just a heads up - I live in the UK so some products may not be available to me

Thank you for your time

The best thing to help your legs (especially knees) is to ensure your bike is set up correctly. Most cycling related injuries are due to poor bike fit and upping the mileage too soon. To be honest for an hour on the bike all you require is water. You're only looking at replenishing electrolytes on long rides around 3 hours or so unless you're cycling in a very hot or humid environment. You would have been better posting this on a cycling forum such as BikeRadar.

Well done on the weight loss.

    Hi mate,
Get yourself on Amazon and look for a good collagen supplement to add to water or juice.
Works wonders for joints lactic acid and basic general health. Good luck mate
