Recommend me two albums - one hippity hop and one hard rock/metal

Whilst the likes of last.fm et al are great, I tend to find that the playlists and suggestions are put together by beardy psuedo intellectual musos who overanalyse every beat and chord.

I'm after a new hip hop/rap type album or whatever its called these days. I've previously enjoyed the work of Dr. Dre, Xzbit, NAS and Jay-Z. I can't stand GGGGGGG-Unit and that tttttttt-ool who fronts them.

Also a metal/hardrock album in the vein of Deftones.

Let's hear some recommendations.........

For the latter, Rage against the machine. Not really similar to deftones but if you want the perfect metal/hardrock mix, they're it. Might satisfy your rap craving too.

Two I bet no one else recommends. Not stuck to your parameters, but if you don't have both of these albums you are really missing out.

Hiphop: The Disposable Heroes of Hiphorisy "Hypocrisy Is the Greatest Luxury". My fave record of the 1990's.
Hard Rock: Clutch "Blast Tyrant". My fave album of the last 10 years.

Definitely go for the RATM debut album. Awesome album filled with great music and raw emotion.

Can't beat a good bit of totally appropriate swearing either

Hippity Hop wise though i'm stumped

A hip hop one I have enjoyed lately is Jake One - White Van Music.

Quite lively without being too silly.

Metal wise try Limp Bizkit "The Unuestionable Truth Part 1."

Forget Chocolate Starfish/Results May Vary etc. this labum was a big change in direction and I love it. It bombed sales wise but is a hidden gem I.M.O.

Listen to these songs. If your a metal fan don't just ignore it because its Limp Bizkit and you dont like Nu Metal.

Can't go wrong with Master Of Puppets.

Also Slayer - Reign In Blood.

Slayer, bit heavy for training, love them though!  Drowning Pool and Rammstein are probably the best bet for training to be honest.

Hip Hop - Black Cargo by Immortal Technique
Hard Rock - Relationship of Command by At The Drive In

I'm a massive Deftones fan too so we probably have similar tastes. Both the above albums are criminally underrated. Especially the At The Drive In album, its amazing.
