Reheating Chicken More Than Once?

I bought loads of these half chickens as they're on a deal. They are cold from the fridge but they have already been cooked. That said, they're are not ready to eat cold. You have to cook them again in the oven.

I have heard that chicken should never be reheated twice. Given that they were bought cooked but need to be cooked again before they can be eaten, does this mean that if I were to let it cool and reheat it again in the microwave at work I'll be playing with fire?

Yes reheated chicken is fine. What I am saying is if you reheat it twice.

I wouldn't want to reheat any food twice after cooking.

I have made a decision. I will not reheat twice. That is all.

You can reheat food as many times as you like, as long as:
    1. It's all 100% boiling hot at each reheating.
    2. You refrigerate it between reheatings.
    3. You let it cool for 10 minutes before refrigerating.
To put it in simple terms, for simple people: DO NOT REHEAT FOOD, OR EVEN TRY TO COOK FOOD. YOU'RE PROBABLY TOO STUPID TO DO IT RIGHT.

100% boiling hot is not an actual temperature. It should read more like heat to 80• or something like that.
It will continue to dry out every time you cook it though.

boiling hot is a temperature. 100% is the proportion of the food which should be boiling hot, i.e. all of it.
to further clarify, I'm referring to the boiling point of water, not nitrogen, not mercury.

I personally wouldn't reheat more than once, just to be sure.

I've reheated and left to go cold, then eaten cold later in the week.  That's fine as long as you scoff it before it turns.

    At what atmospheric pressure?
Water can boil at 10 degrees but I don't think that would heat the chicken enough.

Unless stated otherwise, assume standard temperature and pressure.
