Resellers via Internet?

Does anyone know if there are companies you can become reseller for but you never actually see the product?

You setup a website, market it and get the customers, the customer places the order through your webiste but the money and order goes straight to the company and they claim the money and despatch the goods and you get a % of the sale?

Does that exist?

Help a friend out with his little 'venture', i've not personally done it but i do hold an account. I may go into it, but im to busy to have the hassle right now.

Alot of drop shipping sites are using other drop shippers, who then use the actual drop shipping company/warehouse.

One of the major problems is custom fees, alot of products are imported and im not sure where the customer stands with regaurds to warrentys. As i've not learnt of the potential legal problems, i've not gone into it 100%.

    Good luckwith it

Didnt mean that mate, what I mean was that you could re-sell a service of another company under a "white label" on your own website. Iv been into this kind thing for the last year or so you see.

I have experienced a bit of this lately

I bought some Sealey (tool company) products from a couple of suppliers , and they all come in the same packaging , direct from Sealey

This week , I bought a 24" Drum fan .... prices ranged from £104 - £199 (for the identical product - sent from the same warehouse ! )

Obviously I paid the £104 option ( ) but it got me to thinking - if *some* people pay the £199 (or any of the prices ranging from £120 + )

THen there is SERIOUS money to be made for doing pretty much NOTHING !! - OK , so you have your overheads (running a website + time in dealing with the orders ) but even so , Having a retail business and not having to hold stock should be a dream come true ! , a licence to print money
    !!!

What my brief reseach it doesnt even seem like you deal with the orders.

I guess you have to keep monitoring your site to make sure its in the top of the search results in google etc.

    Hey Joe

Right not wanting to go into details of my own ventre but I will do a case study situation for you!

First you would need something to sell or re-sell as the case may be..
Communications is always a good industry. Its always growing the only problem being is its always getting cheaper and is very competetive. So maybe you resell mobile phone contracts via a reseller agreement. Basics of the agreement will vary dependent on the supplier but it could be you get a fixed fee per contract sold or you could take a percentage of the the monthly bill. This could prove very fruitfull if you got 1000 clients paying £15 per month then you would want to bring in other products to sell as add ons to the contracts etc you could then expand into home phones, broadband, digital tv etc etc

Write a business breif/business plan and plan financials with an accountant

Form a Ltd Company via on online forming agent (thats another idea, you could re-sell Ltd company forming etc loads of options)

Use a virtual Office company like www.londonpresence.com for your registered office so you have a nice central london busiess address for your website, you can use them for mail forwarding to your house and telephone answering so there is always someone on hand to take calls and you can create a good image from inception.

Open Company bank account and get credit cards etc

Open an merchant account to take payment via the interent i use streamline but there are pleanty out there, the main thing is to get a company that will give you a 2day turn around, some companies want a 30day retention period for new business and this really kills cash flow big time. e.g. client pays on a monday via your interface you want the cash in your account wednesday not next month!

Register for VAT with HMRC do this straight away dont wait

Base to work from like your house to start off with

Build a good website, this is key!!!!!!!!!! I ****e website can really affect sales. My first site was rushed and was crap and soon as I lauched the new site and made no other changes sales almost doubled A purely online business must view the website as its shop front and you really want to create a good impression form the outset as normally u will be paying for virtually all traffic to your site 1st of all and you want conversions.

    Costs will be
    comapny mobile phone?
    your time
    Website
    Accountant
Advertising (online, business publications, flyers etc)
    Virtual office fees
Merchant fees(but the good thing with this one, the higher the monthly fee the more money you must be taking 10k pm would cost about £150)
    Set up fees

Made it sound easy? Its not lol, the biggest problem will but the under-estimation of set up costs and daily running cost of the business. Far far to many people in my expirence spend far to much money on advertsing first of all without any idea of its effectivness. Yes to a degree some of it will be guess work but some times the simple v low cost ideas work well. e.g when I first started I couldnt afford to have a stand at a trade show but that didnt stop me handing out flyers outside. They cost £150 to print and then my time to hand them out. The beauty was I only needed 2 clients got make a profit and I bet I wouldnt have made that much more cash had I been inside paying 5k for a stand!
What im really trying to say is plan, plan, plan for every eventuality. Underestimate profit and over estimate costs

Hmmmmmmmm dont want to walk you all the way but thats the basic frame work you need buddy.

    Any questions just ask

Ps anyone reading this its just a basic plan I have put 2gether in 10mins so no slating please.
