Return of the Mac

I'll try to keep this intro short and sweet!!

Some of you know me already I expect... My name is Elle I'm 27 (cough did I admit that?) and I've been training for 3 years.

I lost a lot of weight in 2012 to compete but still looked fat by bodybuilding stage standards and it knocked my confidence massively...

I gained back all the weight I had lost plus more and cutting a long story short... Due to Crohn's disease flare ups/arthritis and generally being unhappy/lazy I found myself at a FAT 197lbs (I'm 5'9", I'll post pics)...

I then went to my now other half Aaron Hallett (who has a journal here too!) as we were very good friends before we got together... And he's helped me get my ass into shape again.

I've still got a way to go until I'm happy but I'm 167lbs now and my waist is back down to 25 inches...

I'll leave it there for now but update when I get time!! ;)

Thank you so much! I'm happy with what I've achieved; I am hoping to do NABBA South East in April but I'm not going to fool myself. If I'm not ready, then I'm cool with that and I'll think about a show towards the end of the year. I've grown up the past couple of years and can see where my priorities lie :D

Thanks for the positive comments guys, having a few days out of the gym as I've got a bladder infection boohoo. To cheer myself up I got Aaron to take a photo so I could do a 6 month check in, on my back. Still got really far to go but quite happy with the change I've made in 6 months with little to no cardio (I'm laaaaazy and I hate cardio!!) >>>>

Re: Return of the Mac 2015/02/11 15:08:22 (permalink)
So I thought I would check in :)

I'm not great at daily posting in journals so I'll try and post a bit more :)

Things are going really well, and it really is getting easier with time. I feel like I've got a permanent case of DOMS, however I'm seeing results and I'm really happy. I'm adding in some cardio now, and my confidence is improving! I rarely crave any foods that are not contributing to my goals, and even when I do eat them I get sick so it isn't worth it.

I changed my protein brand because the one I was using was disagreeing with me. Finally put an order in with bodybuilding warehouse for some multi vitamins too, and I've got my brothers girlfriend on the same mission as me so I've got a lady friend (who's a really good PT and the reason I can hardly move today!!)- it's great to have another female to chat to who understands.

I start working at a new law firm next week which I'm excited about, and I'll be just 5 minutes from home so more down time which is very much needed.

I was aiming for NABBA South East but now thinking of doing the muscletalk show in July dependent on the criteria for trained figure. I'm not heavily muscled but don't think I'll be happy doing bikini and would like to compete in a figure class...
