Rice pudding on a bulk?

I haven't seen an awful lot of talk of rice pudding on here - wouldn't it be an excellent bulk tool? I imagine whey could also be added with little difficulty.

Personally I can't drink milk, but I've been experimenting with soya recipes and I've been trying to have it at least twice a day as a dessert.

What are your opinions?

Yes I think it's good.  Traditionally rice pudding is made from pudding rice and milk, often with a bit of butter added in and usually nutmeg for flavour. All natural ingredients, I see nothing wrong with this.  Have you been making your own and using soya milk?

Edit:   forgot to say sugar as well, but I suppose this is down to your own tastebuds.  Could use a bit of honey or maple syrup for sweetness.

    i used to eat.

    2 tins tuna
1 tin reduced salt and sugar beans

    then

1 tin healthy living style rice pudding.

all you need is a can opener, a spoon and a plate!

    LEGENDARY MEAL.

L'jones, rice pudding is a good one for bulking, if your buying tinned get the low fat/healthy eating option, if your making it yourself skimmed milk and plenty of nutmeg or cinammon (watch how much sugar you add).

My mummy always puts a knob of butter on the top of hers before it goes in the oven

Yeh I've been making it myself. Soya version goes something like this:

    Rice
    Soya milk
    Sugar
    Lemon rind
    Vanilla essence
    Cinnamon

I think that's pretty much what I used. The main taste is the soya milk so you have to be careful which brand you buy, my favourite being Alpro. Personally I always stick a spoonful of strawberry jam in before I eat it to change the taste completely. It's yummy.

Sounds lovely, lemon rind in it is a good idea.
