Rob Reynolds bodybuilding diary

I started training since the age of 18 and I am 26 now. When I started training I was very skinny, my weight was 55 kg and now my weight is 80 kg. I have been training on and off during all those years, using different routines and exercise methods. Different supplements and diet plans were also used all the time. At the moment my goal is to get all kinds of fat on my belly away and at the same time maintain the size and muscle of the overall body. I do each exercise for 3 sets and 12 reps each except for forearms and abs where the rep range is between 15-20. Here is what I trained today (feel free to comment on training routine and my diet plans):

Legs (started training them again last week after a long break):

Dumbbell Squats- 10 lbs pair
Barbell Squats- 10 kg
Leg Extensions
Lying Leg Curls

Chest:

Barbell Flat Bench Press- 20 kg
Dumbbell Flat Bench Press- 25 lbs pair
Dumbbell Incline Bench Press- 25 lbs pair
Dumbbell Flat Bench Flies- 20 lbs pair
Dumbbell Incline Bench Flies- 20 lbs pair
Dumbbell Straight Arm Pullover- 40 lbs

I will add new exercises to my routine very soon.

Good luck with your journal, Rob. I find your general threads interesting and was hoping you would start a training log.

10 kg squats?
20 kg bench?

Im confused is that the weight you are lifting?  If so you must have very little muscle in taht 80 kg body.

My squat lift is very low because I hardly trained legs all those years. This is due to the fear of injury. But recently, someone told me that exercising legs gives you testosterone or something, so I started training legs too, I am sure I will increase the weights soon on these exercises.

As far as chest is concerned, again I am avoiding heavy. I am sure I can lift 40 kgs for a few reps.

Its bodybuilding, not powerlifting. So many men lift the same same weights as me after 8-20 years of training in my gym. Why? Because they enjoy lifting light weights.

It also gives me energy to do high number of sets.

For someone who was skinny in his teens, even getting to a respectable frame or building up 25 kgs of mass over the years is considered a good physique. Over time I achieved my goals, from now on bodybuilding for me is only a matter of battling with depression and anything that comes with it is a bonus.

"mass" most of that must be fat from just eating, as repping 40kg and not training legs doesnt really produce much muscle.

You are just pushing me into trolling.
