Roids in Prison

Hey guys,

I've always wondered how available steroids are in prisons (in the US as well as Australia, England, etc) and how prevalent their usage is. The prison population has, percentage wise, the largest majority of huge, ripped men than almost anywhere else. I am curious how much of this has to do with the use of gear.
Obviously people in prison have ample time to exercise in the yard and lift weights and then plenty more time to rest. Conversely, they don't have access to the wide assortment of supplements that us on the outside do. For example, in most (if not all) prison systems inmates are not allowed to have any type of additional supplements, including whey protein and other staples of muscle creation. The best most inmates can get is canned tuna, from the commisary in weekly or monthly intervals.
While inmates pack on muscle and increase their strength for different reasons than many of us on the outside do (survival) many of them end up gigantic.
Anybody have any insight on this?

Enough drugs get smuggled into English prisons without many problems so I'm sure inmates could get their hands on steroids if they really wanted, but I doubt gear use is very common because smuggling in pins, ancillaries, etc, much much harder than heroin in the fold of a letter or other devious methods of smugglation, much harder to hide amps, nolva than some small amount of powder or resin as well.

Perhaps people in prison are not actually as musclebound as the media would have you believe, or perhaps musclebound people are more likely to be in prison in the first place. Or perhaps doing nothing but sitting around and weightlifting allows good gains to be made even without supplements or a great diet.

Btw I have never been to prison, I'm taking Jeffrey Archer's word for it. Not usually the best idea lol.

Steroids are in prisons, and outside of prisons. They are more easily available outside than in though, like everything else.

My brother went to prison and came out a couple of stone heavier than when he went in. Not steroids, just less coke and more lifting weights. Most prisoners have access to good gyms, and sod all else to do. Why not get big?

Seeing as how it is a known and accepted fact that it is easier to get heroin on the street than it is in prison, it would make sense that syringes and the like can be found easily enough in prisons. Concealing amps and the like may be more difficult, though pills wouldn't necessarily be. Whether this means that orals are more popular than injectibles... anybody have any info on this?

I'm not actually sure things like heroin are easier to get on the street. I for one wouldn't have a clue where to get it, however if I was sent to an A-class prison then it'd be very different I assume.

Drugs are in prison especially heroin, if there is bad stuff going round posters or put up to warn inmates.

Allso gym time is limited as you are locked up for long peroids of time and the food aint up to much.
So yeah roids do get in to prison one way or another.

I think the advent of paper bols have made it even more easy tbo.

I have a friend inside and he has told me he can get anything he would want in there, especially after visiting

At the end of the day if your running a prison would you want angry drug starved addicts or prisoners easy to control cause theyve got there fix.

All the things I say are what I have done and what I have found instead of what i have read.

A mate of mine just got out of bird and said it is really easy to get hold of. The problem is the quality of gear and counterfeit gear seems to be much more abundant, or at least was where he was. It doesn't just get smuggled in on visits, many wardens will bring it in for favours and medical staff often allow a few pins to go missing. I think the reason prisoners get big is mainly because you don't burn half the calories when locked up as you would when out. You also get more sleep and rest. That said, there are just as much if not more people that actually lose weight in prison.

    Yes exactly.

It's a complete myth that everyone who goes into prison comes out bigger.

They will come out bigger if they train properly!

Most people don't need steroids to get reasonably big.

Also, many may not have done weights before as they didn't have the time. Or at least not properly. Suddenly they have lots of time on their hands so take up weights and hey presto they realise they had genetic potential they never knew they had,

Yeah, I mean before he went in prison he looked like Euwen McGregor.

I think some stress, a foreign prison and bowel cancer may have had an effect on his body composition.

unless you get a real good swap with crisps, pints of milk, chocolate, pot noodles and burn! then you definately wouldnt mind parting with it. aside from that, ill sleep with some batteries in a sock nicely held in my hand

Hazard a touch of narcissism without shame.

From what I hear it's not great. Standard canteen food, so mostly carbs and fats. However portions are a good size.

Cans of tuna, milk, etc are available to buy with money you make from working/ studying etc in the prison. So you can make up your protein in that way.

i thught it was ok tbh but i did work on savories and had a green band lol

as much bread as i needed and plenty of tuna to take back to pad

we could also buy MRP's and whey protine as well which was great

must say thou this notion about ppl trainning in prision unless your in a cat D which is open then i dont think you will be doing much apart from 1 to 2 hours association per day rest of day will be full lock up .
