Routine for girlfriend

My girlfriend wants to start losing weight, and she came to me asking for a diet and maybe a workout routine. She doesn't want to "pack on" muscle, just lose weight a little and maybe tone up. I was wondering what type of routine you guys would suggest...

I figured id get her on a routine with lots of cardio, some weightlifting and a great diet (high protein, moderate carbs, low fat). Whatcha think?

I wish my GF would start working out. Like most other females I know, they seem to think the only way to loose weight is to diet. If she actually did a bit of exercise at the same time as well as diet she`d soon loose those extra 50lb she`s carrying.

Most women think that if thet start to lift big weights they will look like a bodybuilder. You simply need to convince her she is wrong and start her off on a begginers routine (say a 2 or 3 day split) incorporating cardio about three times per week as well.

Tell her dieting alone will make her lose lean tissue and add fat in the long run, should put her off

LOL. That never fails to make me laugh when someone points to a picture of a bodybuilder and says "i dont want to lift weights or i`ll end up looking like that". Yeah right... takes more than lifting a few weights to end up looking like Dorian Yates or someone! lol.
