    Do a dummy run. Mark out a 5 mile route by your house and run it, mark each mile section and do a watch check to see how your getting on. I'd say nice and steady the first 3 step it up on the 4th and push it out on the 5th with a sprint at the last few hundred metres.

    But of course it depends on your fitness level.
