Sample anabolic diet

Hi all,

I am into the 2nd week of the anabolic diet and wondered if you could give last week's diet a once over and gave me your thoughts, im currently 5" 11 and weigh 85kgs. I want to continue to bulk up but im off to vegas in 5 weeks and want to try and lose a bit of the flab off my belly. My overall aim is to bulk up however, right so here goes:

Non training day

6.30am - 60g Boditronics Express Whey and 2x Myprotein Omega 3 fish oil capsules, 1 multivitamin capsule
9.30am - 2 rashers bacon, 2 sausages and 2 fried eggs
12.30pm - Mixed salad, 1 chicken breast drizzled in extra virgin olive oil, 1 slice chedder cheese
3.30pm - 50g Myprotein beef jerky and 50g mixed nuts
6.30pm - Large steak and mixed vegetables
9.30pm - 60g Boditronics Express Whey and 2x Myprotein Omega 3 fish oil capsules

Training Day

7am - 60g Boditronics Express Whey and 2x Myprotein Omega 3 fish oil capsules, 1 multivitamin capsule
10am - 50g Myprotein Beef Jerky and 50g mixed nuts
1pm - Mixed salad, 1 chicken breast drizzled in extra virgin olive oil, 1 slice chedder cheese
4pm - 50g Myprotein Beef Jerky and 50g mixed nuts
6pm - 30g Boditronics Express Whey
6.30pm - Training
7.45pm - 30g Boditronics Express Whey
8.45pm - Large steak and mixed vegetables

I'd appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Jim

I thought you needed high protein high fat at first and then, low fat low protein high carbs at the end.

5 days a week is high protein high fat then 2 days is high carbs etc.

as i said this is the 2nd week - so last week was no carbs at all as you are supposed to go 12 days with no carbs to be fully fat adjusted.. i must say im counting down til the end of this week so i can have some bread\pizza\pasta\rice... humm..

TIO, just fyi I've experimented on myself and also had people use it.

That looks OK to me. If you can try and squeeze more fibrous veg in then go for it. Remember that this diet demands a lot of fat so don't worry too much about the protein - with the high fat it is very protein sparring.

Vary you O3 sources as well, some flax meal somewhere may help if you can get away with (admittedly minimal) the carb content.

Carb up days should be totally down to how you look in the mirror it can be 18 hours or even 48 (though rarely) but remember to fill up on all the good stuff you're missing through the week - fruit, berries, oats etc etc.

Yes, you can have some 'treats' but make sure the large majority of the CHO is clean - this will safeguard your health, help how you feel and how well the carb up will go. Also, it's not in the plan but do your biggest workout day on the carb up day - I prefer whole body training this day. With all the CHO you;ll be having this is great chance to do a full body workout.

Not a huge fan of this long term but if it works for you then fine.

Just to reiterate, he carb up is a personal thing, look in the mirror, stop when you start puffing up or smoothing out too much.
