Sardines in Tomato Sauce

I am assuming these are pretty good for you?

I bought some from Asda and some from Tesco, didnt think I would like them, but they are lovely!

Had 2 tins of them today :( which I am guessing is a little bit too much fat really.

The ones I bought,  contain only 4 ingredients. Sardines, Tomatoe Puree, Sunflower oil and salt.... are these a good form of protein? I am trying to vary my diet abit, it was abit tasteless before, but love these and they are quick and easy

I love them usually have them pre/post workout and I also have Mackerel in tom sauce which is probably even nicer and a little less oily and a lot more meaty....

On balance a great food. Don't worry too much about the fat from a couple of tins.

As with anything though don't become reliant on one food, eat it regularly but don't rely on it.

    Lee,

out of interest what does the rest of your daily training nutrition look like, do you low through the day?

i do agree manuka, just the boneless extra special ones from asda do taste much nicer, but if you are looking for more calcium then you are right with bones is better for diets.

I love sardines!!! this is what i do:

1 tin of sardines in tomato sauce
    1 tin tuna
    finely chopped spring onion
finely cubed green and red pepper
    a few chopped jalepenos
1 spoon of extra light cream cheese

mix it all up, and a perfect meal while your cutting.

i take it all to work and do the prep there in the kitchen to get away from my desk for 15min mid morning!! hhhhmmmm

Drewsky, i'm on a bit of a mini cut at the moment so i'll give you my stats first i'm 5' 8" and 170 pnds and about 15% bodyfat at the moment. With regards to my diet this was yesterdays -

Breakfast-30g Protein in a shake and 30g of scottish oats (also pre workout yesterday)

Post workout- 30g Protein in a shake and a banana

Post workout meal- Mackerel on seeded wholemeal toast

Early afternoon snack- Tin of tuna with a small side salad and 10g of extra virgin o/oil dizzled on it

Tea time- 120g of sirloin steak and a small Jacket potato with a small side salad

evening snack- 2 low fat cheese slices & 2 wholewheat crackers

Pre bedtime-20g Casein protein shake in skimmed milk

Thats 1700 calories, 223g Protein 121g carbs and 38g fats
I would of liked more fats yesterday but what with work and an early gym session thats the way my day went
