Sauces

Does anybody have a favourite sauce they like to use on their food to take away the bland taste? I've been using a hot sauce called Quintas as I was told its a pretty clean sauce as it doesn't contain junk. It contains chilli peppers, fruit vinegar, salt, garlic and ginger so that seems pretty clean to me.

Would people say that's a pretty decent sauce for a clean diet?

When I'm rolling on a low carb approach, I do enjoy the walden farm sauces such as the ketchup and BBQ sauces.

Any kind of hot sauce is a staple no matter what also.

Pretty much any of the Franks range. Their Chilli & lime is nice.

Im not sure I understand what is clean and what isnt?

either way, there is no need to be suffering with bland food, and trying to look for "clean" ways to flavour it.

check out The Diet Kitchens youtube channel in my sig.

try 1 of his currys, or peanut butter chicken......he also has a nandos chicken recipe

I make my own. Current favourite is to just blend a load of Jalapeno peppers with a splash of EVOO, just use washed out sauce bottles to store.

Can make loads easily, takes 5 minutes, roasted peppers, tomato with onion, garlic and chilli. Make your own infused oils as well.

If your going for a cook in sauce.

Tinned tomato, then add flavouring depending on what your putting with it.

Unless you splash it all over your food or wash your hair in it I don't think it's going to have much impact.  If it's a stir fry sauce then yes, but a teaspoon of ketchup won't hurt.

Talking about favourites, I'd go with english mustard, horseradish or wasabi.
