    Hi Everyone,

    Sunday was a great day and I hope that everybody( Athletes, Officials and Spectators alike) had an enjoyable day.

    I would like to give a MEGA, MEGA THANKYOU to the following:

    To John Patrick(Piper) for playing the pipes outside the Concert Hall prior to Championships, Piping the Provost into the Concert Hall when he arrived, and for piping the Provost and Athletes on and off stage at start of Championships.

    To Provost Bob Scott OStJ JP for Officially opening the Championships and presenting awards at the end of the Championships.

    To my Father, Alastair Christie Snr., for meeting and accompanying the Provost on my behalf during the Championships, so that I could attend to the running of the Championships.

    To Jamie Barr( Former World's Strongest Man Finalist) for doing an excellent job in refereeing the Championships

    To Scott Bell-Craig( Managing Director of The Buff Butler Company Limited,Aberdeen) for carrying out the duties of MC for the Championships excellently, getting the day off to a great start with the introduction of each of the Athletes to the Spectators and keeping everybody informed of what was happening during the course of the afternoon.

    To Janette Murray(Stuart's Wife) and Lynne Napiar(Stuart's Sister), score keepers for the Championships,for their excellent efficiency in recording the scoring throughout the day, and to Iain Murray(No relation to Stuart or Jeanette) for his excellent efficiency in transferring the data, compiled by Janette and Lynne, from paper to computer so as to be projected on to the screen above stage for all to see.

    To my crew, Raymond Christie(He's not Heavy, He's my brother!- depending what way the light hits him he looks under 105kgs....NOT! ), Stuart Murray, Colin Lindsay and Colin Echavarria who all done a great job in ensuring that the equipment for each Event was in place and reset for each competitor and that the timing and measuring(when required)of each event was carried out and relayed to the Table of Score Keepers(Janette, Lynne, Iain)

    To Elaine Gillies( Perth Chartered Physiotherapy) and Lisa Lamont for the excellent work in treating injuries incurred by the Athletes during the course of the afternoon.

    To Raymond Christie(my brother), Colin Lindsay( My cousin),Jamie Barr, Stuart Wadley of, and Tom Jones( NOT the Welsh Warbler) of Strongman their assistance regarding equipment.

    To D 'N' S Video ( Dave Fawcett, Michael Fawcett, Terry Frost) for filming and photographing Championships.

    To All the Spectators who came along and supported the Athletes.

    But, most of all, to all the Athletes, Lads and Lasses that busted a gut in training in preparation for Sunday, for not only "TALKING THE TALK" but "WALKING THE WALK" and putting in great efforts in every event and making for a great Championships.

    Finally, to each and everyone of the Athletes who competed on Sunday, I take my hat off to you most sincerely, because no matter how well everything else has been organised, without you guys there would be no Championships, in my eyes you are all winners.
