How do you max on your 531 exercises every time then? Do you do the reps at the required weight as according to the training plan, and then just go for it after you've hit them if you feel strong enough?
 
Im doing the 531, and by the time I'm onto the final working set (whether its 5+, 3+ or 1+), I'm usually already close to maxing out, I then just do a few more sets after at the same weight to get a few more reps in.

I don't max if I don't feel good. I do joker sets where if the top set felt good and I feel I've got more I'll continue up for sets of 1/2/3 upto whatever then back off. They're not all out maxes they're just really heavy lol. 

I also swap the weeks so I do 351, weeks 3 and 1 are heavy with heavy accessories, weeks 5 and 4th (deload) are lighter weeks higher volume or deload on the 4th if needed, but still do the work on the big lift with the %s for that given day.

DAY 5, 14TH NOVEMBER 2017.

Continued 70mg of pmag and 30mg of tren in the morning.

Deadlifts today. Top set was 180 and I only managed 4. Bit peeved wanted 5 minimum. My all time best with 180 is 180x5. Felt pretty tough so I didn't do any additional deadlift sets. 

Moved onto some squats, worked upto 135kg for a single set of 3. Pretty easy but lower back was nicely pumped by this point. 

Heavy tbar rows, weighted pull ups some curls and leg press to finish.


Notes - No sides at all yet perhaps feeling a bit hotter/sweatier than usual, but still don't think it's kick in on full blast yet. Continued to gain a rep here or there but nothing noticeable as of yet. Rest day tomorrow.

That makes sense, sounds like a good plan. I love doing the 531, I think the way the percentages are worked out are just right. I'm just struggling to improve my squat at the moment I feel like I'm at a dead end lol.

I like it for the same reasons, % based gives you plan and then you can set goals. You go into the gym knowing what you got and getting to push yourself on the last sets. 

Switching the weeks mean you don't do two heavy weeks back to back, usually can do 6-8 week cycles rather than the 3 weeks then deload.

So dig some more digging through past pmag logs. A lot were ran 4-5 weeks, so I may up the dosing so I can do the 2 tubs in 5 weeks as opposed to 6. 

Would mean 105mg of pmag and 45/60mg of tren.

I'd prefer 6 weeks, would still mean upping in the final weeks iirc to use the tubs. I just think the longer I drag a cycle out the better, gains would be easier to keep as such. 

But a lot were saying the gains slow down in 4/5th week with pmag?

DAY 7, 16TH NOVEMBER 2017.

Continued 70mg of pmag and 30mg of tren in the morning.

Bench press today, top set of 102.5kg and got 7. Wanted at least 8 best is 10 with that weight so bit disappointing.

Workout was pretty awful, didn't seem to have any focus or strength at all today. Did some OHP, incline dbs and tricep work to finish.

Notes - No sides at all yet perhaps feeling a bit hotter/sweatier than usual, but still don't think it's kick in on full blast yet. 7 days in was hoping it'd poke it's head in now but nothing yet not a sniff. 

Considering upping to 3 tabs a day from tomorrow, 105mg of pmag and 45mg of tren everyday. Will give me 4 more weeks of the pmag and then 5 weeks of the tren. Worried about the cycle being too short before it's even kicked in to give any gains but will play by ear.

DAY 9, 18TH NOVEMBER 2017.

Upped dose to 3x35mg PMAG and 3x15mg tren a day. Took 2,2 in the morning then another 1,1 in the afternoon pre workout.
 
Squats tonight and things start to look better. Top set was 140kg and I smashed this for 8 reps. My all time best with that weight is 9! So very happy, worked upto 160kg for 1 as I wanted to see how it would move. Felt heavy but watching back on the video I recorded looked smooth, quick and easy. So chasing down that 170kg all time best pretty quickly and hopefully be surpassing that soon. 

Was pretty knackered after squats so just did singles with deads, a plate a time upto 4 plates for a single. 

Moved onto leg press and worked upto 400kg for 5. Some single leg quad work and back extensions to finish. 


Roll on Monday for OHP.

OHP today, completely different from Saturday. Been feeling so lethargic, workout was awful. Partly to just not feeling it what soever and partly due to having painful tendons in my forearms/biceps/triceps. I'm sure it's from when I low bar squat, so need to make sure I stretch my forearms/shoulders and chest more when squatting to prevent my tendons from getting inflamed and sore. 

Top set was 60x7, a rep less than last week. Moved onto bench still wasn't feeling it and was in pain upto 100 for 3, did some light machine work and just left. 


So far comparing this cycle to the halo it's nowhere near as good. Still early so going to give it another week or two then see what's up. :/

Haha all I'm interested in to be honest. Whole reason for me doing this cycle. I had some goals and I'm worried I wont even come close!

Like I said hoping things pick up but so far I wish I would of done halo at 100mg ahah.
