Seeking a Yoda.

I'm having real problems developing my pecs. it seems to have hit a plateau. I've done all of the groundwork for it, big strong back and shoulders etc... but I can't seem to get any shape into my chest. I train chest every 6 - 8 days. Alternating between (i) bench press, flys. (ii) decline bench, pec deck. (iii) negative bench press, incline DB press. I don't know what but it seems something is missing. We are getting close to summer now and for my own gratification I want to be able to take my shirt off and look good. I'm not a newbie. I've been training for about 18 months now so I'm past the whole big weight poor form thing. Please help.

Thanks

    Perhaps try some chest dips.

try more frequency, after you lift a weight protein synthesis(muscle repair) starts and lasts about 36hrs,so if you only train chest every 6 to 8 days that means your chest is growing for 36hrs then staying at baseline for the other 4 to 6 days, try doing a bit more chest work on other days.

I'm doing 3x8 - 10 reps as soon as I can do 10 reps I push the weight up. So going back to Buzzer's comment for a second should I train chest every 2 or 3 days for maximum effect? should i be doing fewer sets with more weight? what about H.I.T training? anybody used this technique?

Try and put in an extra chest session per week, within a couple of months you should see some change, have you tried pullovers?? The 'valley' on my chest came on the most from incline cable flyes/crossovers when I hold it at the top of the flye, you feel a good pump and burn from the tension even though it is just supposed to do your outer chest.
