Self discipline + diet - Age?

Do you tihnk as you get older, move out, etc, your diet gets easier to stick to? as you're buying your own foods etc so you can make sure there isn't any rubbish in the house?

Do you also think that as you're older you've experienced how to say no more, and how to stop your self from doing or having things you know you shouldn't? and so you're better at doing so and sticking to your diet or your regime??

Yup- I am a million percent better doing it these days than when I was in my 20's or early 30's.

I don't know if it is age or simply that I got sick of failing at things.

I think this will vary from person to person.

As you alluded to moving away from home has a significantly positive impact. I peaked when I was in my 20s. I had complete control over my diet and was very focussed on training. As work has become more important, the diet has gone to hell in a hand basket.

Generally speaking though, to eat clean when living with people who don't is very tough.

I don't think its about age.

    Its about determination, commitment, consistency.
Have a read off IB's or FatPete's journal.
    They're focused.

Its hard to establish a routine for 2/3 weeks, after that it just sinks in.

I think is more about mental strength than age.If you have the willpower to stick to your diet you will,no matter the age.

My diet is pretty good, don't eat any crap in the week.Maybe a little at the weekend. It's the booze that fcuk's it up for me.

Also i think the key is to allow yourself treats.Have one day where you have a meal or two of what you really fancy. For me it is something like a bacon sandwich or a Subway for example.Gives you something to look forward to.
