WOW! Thats a big routine mate.

Why the need to do 12 reps though? I thought 6-8 were of more benefit

    SUCCESS IS MY EFFORT.

This sort of routine will not work for everyone, over training can also lead the mass loss but its all trial and error so good luck

cheers, im not all that big yet anyways, right now all ive got is a good frame, some pretty decent definition and good strength for my size, i feel with this routine i can keep my definition while adding some muscle, but as you say its not for everyone and i just want to see that if i put in 100% and keep my diet flowing and plenty of rest if i can grow on this routine. cheers deadweight and ill let ya know how it ends up

I like intensive workouts and imo that is too much for the average joe. Remember, nubret was a profeissonal athlete so thats all he had to think about and work for. It'll be good to see how you get on keep me informed. I read on here somewhere that one of the workouts took one guy an hour and a half alone....

mm good points, but im a pretty athletic bloke, and my job entails me to tell other people what to do all day so its not the most physical work. mm the more i look at the routine the more daunting it becomes, i think i might just trial it with pretty low weights and build myself up to higher weights, and yeah with each exercise demanding 6-8 sets it will be no cake walk, and the supersetted bb curls and tricep dips, i think ill either harden up or puss out after about 10 minutes. either way ill let you know mate.

Its a good routine, I only did it for a number of weeks and although I'm not sure if I had any muscle or strength gains, it definitely woke me up to how lazy I had become with training, and boosted my fitness a lot.

Its difficult to sustain that level of punishment but your first legs session should be fun
    Especially the day after

With all due respect Surge Nubret is a genetic freak, and it appears you've fallen foul of the "if I train like him I'll look like him".....mentallity, by all means give his routine a go but tailor to fit YOUR SPECIFIC needs and requirements.

agreed hes a genetic freak, and if ya read my post i made it quite clear i dont think if i trian like him i could look like him, i dont want to get that big for 1 and dont think i could if i tried for 2. all i want to do is trial the routine and see how i go with it.

PS spent the last half an hour retyping the routine and taking out some overloading stuff and added deadlifts.

If you accept you won't look like him, then why follow his routine, why not devise one of you own? What do you expect to gain from following his methods? What makes it special above any other routine?

Make sure you eat loads, have hardly any rest inbetween sets, and try not to make your session drag out too long [unless your on meds ] as you dont want to go catabolic.

I don't do all the exercises on his training sheets, but pick ones that will improve my shape, I do 6-8 sets/12-15 reps per exercise.

I use his training principle over a year now, & it works for me!

    Not for the lazy trainers!
