Setting the record straight

This is in response to a certain person and is not a post for a response other than to set the record straight. I know that the certain person in question will read this although they have been barred twice now

In my previous posts on here which I do not expect you to have seen I have stated that I am 37 and used to compete 12 years ago and for some strange reason have decided I want another go at it. I am overweight and am the first person to admit that. I have at least 2 stone to lose for competition. Hence the reason I have not posted any piccies. I am not an over muscular person and will not resort to any form of steroid or other substance to help me achieve a physique capable than what I can do naturally (I'm sure you will bepleased to hear). I have weaknesses which happen to be my biceps and possibly abs but hopefully the latter will be better when I lose the weight! When I used to compete there was less muscle expected in the Figure category than what it appears to be today so photos I do have show a toned figure rather than a ripped physique. I am proud of the way I used to look as I have always had a weight problem throughout my life, and I am certainly, looking forward to getting back into shape. Even though I have said I am 2 stone overweight I have even lost a further 2.5 stone to get to where I am today. My bodyfat was well over 40% and is still around the 30% mark today. I am not ashamed to admit this as I know I have done well to get to where I am now. I feel fitter than I did in my 20's and will be getting better.....

I have never slagged anyone off or compare my figure past or present to anyone on this board and would never do so because I know mine was not then nor is it now anywhere near perfect.

I think it is sad that you had to be barred as I do feel you have potential and you can certainly learn alot from this board, I know I have, even in Nutrition which is my current profession. The sort of attitude you showed may be good on stage as it would make you stand out, but when you ask for advise, you listen. When it is given you don't proclaim that someone with many years of experience is wrong.

Good luck for the future and if someone can tell me how to attach a photo here, I'll put one up!

you do look great Kitty - good for you!

Your post will not be read by her though as she is gone. She was high maintenance and rude to a respected member which will not be tolerated!

You are a prime example as someone with differing views but presents them in a polite manor, the exact oppostie to her. BIG respect to you!

dg - too much high maintenance - and what you forget is members you give a bit of attitude in open forum often give a lot of attitude in emails to mods.
None of the mods are paid and we have lives - high maintence members are not what we need - not at all - I would rather spend an hour helping people out than an hour editing abusive posts.
my 2c is that although she had worked to get some physique - it was nothing that special in the big wide bodybuilding world.
And she needed to learn a little humility.

As for you kitty - supurb development - just wait for that muscle memory to kick in!
One question - when you were competing did you ever go up against a lady called Robina Harvey ? She was competing in the 80s.

All the best with your comeback.

Cheers guys, all these great comments are making me blush[:I]. Don't remember Robina, Seungmenga. I'll have to dig my trophies out the garage to see what years I competed in which comps!

I don't think she would though dg! I tried to put her straight after she rejoined and she came back even worse...people like that never learn and being as far up that dark orifice as she was I don't think she ever will. However, I would give her the benefit of the doubt as I did think she could have had potential and learnt a lot from this board. When she was given advise she just threw it back!

dg - I must say your opinions annoy me. Excuse my bluntness. I run one of the biggest and busiest fintess/bodyb uilding boards in the world and from sheer amount of experience I know how we have got MT to this level, atmosphere is paramount to MT.

I resent the fact that you do not think I am 'big' enough, but you know nothing of what goes an around here.

Sure she had a great physique, but her knowledge was poor, yes poor. I picked this up in two threads before she grew the attitude. Everything was black and white to her in giving advice, which, as a knowledgeable person like you knows, is just not the case.

I would also like you to describe what you mean by 'refreshing' concerning her views. There are many anti-steroiders here and we welcome them, eg Kitty and many males members too, but there are ways and means of discussing things. The way she jumped on innocent Levi was way way out of order, period.

Also your reply to Les in the above post is rude and sarcastic - which there is no need to be. You seem to think you can moderate MT better than us. Remember my duty is to keep the atmosphere here good, and to please the majority of members.

Anyway - I look forward to you pulling me apart from this post LOL

Actually dg - lets be honest she put her self up as having a great physique !
It was horrible full of flaws in bodybuilding terms, and in athletic terms I have seen much better on a lot of sports fields in my time - having been a very active Athletic Union member at uni I can say I have seen lots better female physiques than that around the office!

Tell you what - you replace my wages and get me broadband and we will let members like her back on - so I can spend all day editing and deleting posts that break the board rules ? - deal?

Kitty - Robina competed Nabba - a Ms Universe, around the same time as Paula Birkenshaw !
Either way - you did very well - and all the best as you get back in the groove. - If I can help in anyway - just say.

Lets stop debating a_n now please - shesh I think she has taken up enough MT space now.

Lets get back to doing what we do best - which is helping each other achieve their goals.

And please remember,...some (not all) athletes who bang on and on about being clean and natural are usually the ones who in fact are using substances.

I know this from my athletic background, do not take it as red that if someone says they are natural, they are.

eg There are 2 ladies and 4 men at our gym who harp on and on about there great natural physiques,....however, little do they know that the majority of gym members know different......they in fact use regularly!!.

Well I'm not banging on!! I am not THAT desperate to win a comp or change my body as quickly as steroids will allow. I take great pride in seeing what my body is capable of doing naturally. What I have to remember though, is that half of the people that I look at and admire have possibly used and I have to accept that it may be impossible for me to look THAT good. I'm sure you can tell from my photos that I did not used before (and still don't)as I'm not all that muscular....I also hate the way that steroids can change the shape of your face....I don't consider myself that attractive to begin with and would hate to think I would become a real ugly cow!

However, fair enough for those who wish to use but I know I will feel more proud if I reach my goal naturally and even more so if I beat a user to get there![:p][}:)]
