To be fair, the guy does sound like a bit of a bell end. Although I'm not sure why there needs to be an offence of sexism in a public place. We will have equality when we have construction sites full of women and most men work in nice air conditioned offices. Once 93% of workplace deaths aren't men then I'll be more than happy to discuss equality.

What it boils down to is hurting someone's feelings is basically a crime. This is just the start. I'll wager within 50 years it will be a crime to call someone an idiot or a d1ck in the EU or UK. It already is a crime in the Arab world and many are fined or jailed for slagging someone off online or in a public place.

We have International Women's Day. I am so tired of all of these days labeled for a certain group. Being a white male I do not feel sorry for anyone. As a white male we are being shamed for our gender and skin. I didn't own any slaves nor have I sexual harassed anyone. This $hit is getting old.

unfortunately Medic this stuff is getting new , if you look at history this is just the start and it does get much worse. Not sure lefties understand the consequences or they are just blindly ignorant and over sensitive .  Setup the MoBo's and your a hero setup the MoWo's and you'll be labelled KKK , yet some people think this is just fine because of some bad events that didn't happen in there lifetimes. most feminists do not want equality, they want preferential treatment over men.

I couldn't agree with you more doc! It is a fuc#ing mess. I have raised my son to treat everyone equally and fair. That being said I will not raise him to feel inferior or be apologetic due to his gender or skin. The human race has become so twisted.

I think the same way there are people out there who make a living out of getting offended over nothing and on other people's behalf, there's also a growing sentiment on the opposite side that these mad SJW types are taking over the world.

I don't think it's that prevalent outside the internets, it's just that this day and age a very vocal small group in social media can make it look like a huge movement. I go outside my house and talk to lots of people every day and don't really see it in the real world. Not here anyway, it seems to be a bigger deal in the US but then again everything is a big deal there.

With respect, I’m thinking someone who may have that opinion can see nothing wrong with this new “progressiveness” though, mostly.

Everything is made to be a big deal due to CNN: Communist News Network. They make an AR-15 out to be the devil yet did not mention the ISIS kid that brought a bomb to school and tried to detonate it in Utah. Not getting my guns!

I find the SJWs, feminazis and LGBTQOFJXOSFXXX fanatics as annoying as anyone with some common sense but at the end of the day they're really little more than that - annoying. I'm more concerned with certain growing ultra conservative movements which very closely resemble what would become the totalitarian governments we had in Europe a century ago - which some people here seem to think are actually a good idea, I mean fascism worked great the first time didn't it?

But more importantly as I pointed out I don't see this extreme political correctness anywhere out in the real world. There clearly aren't as many as those "mad lefties" out there as the media makes it seem, just a few of them that bark really loud.

In 1993 this was just a joke sketch on a TV programme. Now it's reality.
