    Legend.

The Pogues are one of my favourite bands.

Shano recently got a new set of gnashers!

Hes actually a great guy, one of the few people from the music biz Ive ever met that is not in any way up his own ego.

Once spent a very bizarre evening in one of the toilet cubicles of the old George Robey pub in Finsbury Park with Shane, some guy who was a mate of his, and a large bag of a certain white powder....

Not really a lover of his type of music but he's a funny guy and lives the rock star lifestyle.

Saw a documentary about him a few years back and it was pretty funny.

I know little about his music, and nothing about him as a person

The abiding memory I have of The Pogues is drunken idiots screaming out that god-awful Xmas song they did. Every bloody Xmas

The Pogues are thoroughly awesome - Mr McGowan has one of the greatest ever stage presences ever - as soon as he steps on stage you REALLY know he's in the room.

One of the best live acts ever.

I love him. He lived in a hotel (yes) down the road from me for about a year. One of my mate's dad is a taxi driver local to the area and Shane had him on call to bring him food from the chipper any time he wanted.

He's a genius though, Pair of Brown Eyes is the best song ever

I personally think his talents have been overrated.Never seen the reason for him to be called a genius.

Musically he might not be your cup of tea, but lyrically he's pure poetry in my opinion.
