Shedding Body Fat

Hi people
This is my first post as I'm a new member & I'm hoping you guys can help me out!?!
As the title suggests, I want to loose body fat fast.
Ok, a bit of background.  I'm 5'8 weigh 11.4 stone & I'm an athletic build.
I'm currently doing the P90X workout plan & I'm into my 7th week of it.  I started off at 10.1 stone & within the month, I've put on over a stone but turned that into lean muscle.
The only suppliments I'm using is Protein Shake which contains Creatine also.  I've invested in some York Fat Burning tablets to try & aid the speed of loosing fat.
I'm careful what I eat & I'm on a Protein based diet.  Occasionally I do stray off the diet & have the odd 'bad food' but it's very occasional!!  I'm trying to stay away from Bread & only having the odd few Carbs.
I have breakfast which is Porridge along with a Protein Shake, mid morning snack is a Yogurt, Protein bar & Banana
I work out 7 days a week, BUT, I only use weights 3 times a week.  The rest of the days are a mixture of Yoga, Kenpo, Plyometrics. Lots of CV to help.
I've kinda hit a plateau now in that, I've gained size & muscle definition is showing but it's kinda slowed down & I want it to continue. My BMI is currently at 17.7% but I want this down to 8 or 9% for the growing muscles to really show through.
This is where I hope you guys can help me.
Is there anything else I can be doing/introducing suppliements etc??
What I'm striving for is a lean/defined/ripped look.  That of Brad Pitt in Fight Club or the American Total Fitness nutritional guy, Max Wettstein.
The P90X is helping loads but I really want to aid the results or give them a boost.
Thanks guys & sorry for the long first message, I just wanted to give you guys enough background info of me etc so you can give me a more detailed/helpful response.
I think I've covered everything but if there is anything else you need to know then please feel free to ask.
The bottom line is, I want to strip my body fat so I'm running on lean/defined muscle.
Many thanks, look forward to hearing from you all.

Do not go by your BMI as it is a lot of bollocks, you should go on your body fat % and how your look in the mirror

If you have stopped growing and hit a plateau then you should simply increase your calorie intake to keep growing and keep the protein intake high (1.5g - 2g of protein per kg of bodyweight)

You should post up your full diet & goals in the Diet & Nutrition page for advice.

Thanks for the reply Tartan Man

Is a BMI % different to that of a body fat %? Sorry if that's a stupid question, I'm still new to this in terms of eating right & getting a good diet.

I'll post everything in Diet & Nutrition & hope I get other idea's.

Your BMI is your mass in kg divided by your height in m. Yours currently stands at 24.3, putting you at the top end of 'normal weight'. It tells you next to nothing about body fat %, particularly when talking about BB'ers as by definition it cannot take into consideration an individual's body composition. If you are concerned with fat loss and want to measure then calipers are the most effective way to record your bf%.

And don't bother with fat burning tablets, particularly York's! They are a complete waste of money, the only ones that have ever produced significant results were Xenadrine in the days that it contained ephedrine, and ECA stacks themselves. If you're at 17.7% fat a good diet and regular exercise should bring that down over a couple of months.

    Current training: 6-day split
Current cycle: Test E @ 500mg per week

    Current stats:
    Height : 192cm
    Weight : 272lbs
    Body Fat : 15.4%

    Thanks SecondRow

Are the calipers something that's available in chemists etc or would I have to order from a specialist supplier?

I'm working out with weights 3 times a week & the rest of the week is Yoga, Kenpo, Plyometrics etc.  Lots of calorie burning & CV

I'm eating well but it seems that my body has stalled slightly.

I got a good size & the beginnings of lean muscle but it's like my body isn't adapting anymore.

I'm sticking with it though, keeping pumping the weights & eating right.

As above about BMI, an example being a Body Builder could be 180cm height and 110kg and classed as obese on the BMI index yet an averyge man 180cm height and 85kg down the pub with his beer belly could be classed as "healthy weight".  Now who is actually in better condition

Agree with above, stay away from fat burners, eating right & exercise will make u lose body fat.

Calipers, just google body fat calipers and you'll get some suppliers

Remember it's hard to lose body fat and gain muscle, if you are committed to lowering bf% then you might have to sacrifice lean muscle gains in order to do so.
