Should I Do Forearm Workouts?

not been sure about this for some time now. Is it necessary to do forearm workouts? or does your forearm get a good enough workout from dumbell curls ETC. sorry if this is a noobish question,

Your forearms will get worked loads from deadlifting, rows, chin ups and any sort of pulling like cleans or high pulls, etc. Isolating is most likely not necessary, but wouldn't do any harm if you wanted to for the laugh.

I often see people doing wrist curls and stuff too, these people invariably have tiny forearms and never do anything like deadlifting or heavy rows! Either that, or they are massive bodybuilders who have been training for years and their training methods won't be all that suited to a relative intermediate trainer such as myself (and yourself presumably) so either way I'd say they're not necessary at this stage!

Seems a bit stupid lilke has being said before, forearms get worked in pretty much everything unless you are follow a specific advanced BB split.

As per usual Citizen Kane speaks da troof.

I did wrist curls when I first started lifting because I was following a ridiculous body split and now I realise I was a mong. Started heavy deadlifting and my forearms exploded and are now a lot bigger and vascular as ****.

As above, the big lifts will cover all the stimulus your forearms need,......personally find the big pulling excercises, deads/chins/rows hit my forearms the hardest.

As well as deadlifts, etc - I tend to do alot of farmers walks, that will really fry your forearms.

As mentioned, isnt really needed to isolate them as long as big lifts are in your routine, but no harm in doing so if you wish,
