Smaller bodyparts you could work out but don't

1) Front calves - I don't believe how much these get overlooked, they look bloody good for adding overall roundness and of course front-on;

2) Neck - I don't do this myself, but would like to give it a go to see how it brings out my Traps

3) Forearms - I think a lot of fellas worry how they'll detract from biceps but seriously, sleeves rolled or hanging out the car window they can look great, you can pack an inch on them with wrist curls;

4) Inner thighs....not sure if these count as 'small', but when I'm doing that leg squeeze machine, I can see those muscles bulge outwards, so there must be something to it.

Seems to me like all these bad boys make a nice set of finishing touches, any others not on my list??

I agree in toto with your list mate with a couple of exceptions.
I never train my neck or inner thighs as isolated exercises, basically as they get blasted subconsciously during leg and back work.
I usually tag on a few forearm reverse curls in a biceps workout and always separately do calves.
In my case, the shoulders are a small body part. Hate doing these.

Training fr strength so calves... never lol (many moons ago anyway). Plus my brother David and mum got the calves genes.

Forearms... oh yes I do. Kinda freaky looking too. The last muscle to get covered up come bad weather.

Tibialis ("front calves") and adductors ("inner thighs") will get worked pretty well just from stuff like free weight squats and deadlifts. For many the adductors grow more than the hamstrings from squats, and the tibialis is a very small muscle with very little potential for growth anyway. Plus tibialis DOMS is hell.

Forearms get trained from almost all upper body lifts and, like tibialis, won't make much difference if you train them directly.

Most people isolate muscles way too much as it is. I cringe when I see 120lbs newbies at the gym doing cable crossovers when they should be doing some dips.

Coping. One of the others is all over the place bless. I'm made of sterner stuff but I'm sure I'll have a blub or two at some point. Feels a bit weird at times at work (almost hoping some pratt kicks off so I can kick their ass lol) - a lot of thinking but not as emotional as I might have expected - maybe later?? We've had to wait on getting the death certificate (sorted early next week) before we can arrange the service. On the table is for the ashes to be scattered up here (Wales) on what would have been his birthday.

My tibialis got much bigger just from front squatting: sometimes it becomes painful if I walk too quickly because of pumps.

For me it's biceps. They get hit on chins and rows so I can never and have never been arsed to train them in isolation.

Forearms seem to get a decent hit just from stabilising dumbbells and carrying weights around the gym.

Seems you have it all in hand - but that weepy session, or two, or four, are well deserved.  And they won't all come in the same week; you'll have times in the next month, two or more, your self-control will collapse, and it's to be expected.

Could seem hollow, from me, but you DO get the better of it.  Eventually.

Ask yourself what he would have wanted, and see if you can work towards that.

God bless bro.

I can't take someone seriously who does wrist curls, that is fricking pointless, hammer curls and deadlifts will do a far better job.

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

Does seem silly and a waste of time. Same as people who use those little grip springs. A rubber squeezy duckling stress toy works just as well.

90% of the time it IS hammer curls for the muscle (to 50-kilos a side). And I love my 'little' spring grips ha ha. Mind you I'm among the best in the world on 'em so I may be biased lol.

Cheers B. I'm rarely, if ever, that emotional. Cried like a baby when the family dog pegged out (in my arms) and had a weep at my dads funeral. I'm more likely to wipe away a tear watching a soppy film than in the usual circumstances (and then only as I got older). That said, like many here, I get to smash frustration, anger and emotion out in the gym. A stress outlet to be sure.

Neck, once a week for ten minutes. Sounds ridiculous but seen some rugby players training their necks with therabands on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHazRN0JdoE   Hang it off the banister, sounds daft, but works ok. 44 now so need try and keep the neck lean, once its gone theres no return, apart from surgery :(

Hi Mobster, whilst on the subject, i have me three sets of those hand grippers. Apart from your deadlifting etc, how do you rate them as a muscle builder?, if you dont mind me asking.
