Smelly Gym Trainers

OK, so the time is nigh that my gym trainers are getting really smelly, the trouble is they look brand new still as I've only ever used them at the gym.

So what tips have we all got to get them smelling nice again, other than bung them in the washing machine as I always think that ruins them?

Anyone, anyone......

Usually I'd bin and buy new but needs must.....

get some of those odour balls or whatever theyre called, leave them in between workouts and tend to do the trick for me.

Could also try something like oust spray.

Fill with cat litter and leave overnight.

    Or try bicarb of soda.

Also when the time comes to change them, it may be an idea to put 'odour eater' insoles into the new set.  This means that when they smell too much, you can throw the insoles away and put new ones in.

Doesn't answer your question I know, but may help for future.

chuck a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in them when you take them off, shake it around inside and then leave it. Tip it all out before you use them next. If you do that everytime you wear them for a week or two, then do it at least once a week, they should calm down whiff-wise.

    If you can find it:

Works for months, even on the worst feet or trainers.
