Soy tastes different to cows mill, its creamier and somewhat grainier. But i use it in coffee and tea as well as porridge mixed with water. DOnt use it in boiling water though or it curdles.

TVP is soya mince, Textured Vegetable protein, 50% protein by weight and a few carbs and zero fat. being lean and mean is also about expenditure of calories and exercise as well as gfood choices. I know what works for me.

there is nothing in that piece on soy and weight loss

as it is the article is very poorly written with a lot of irrelevant and inaccurate information with any meaningful material towered beneath several layers of scaremongering

all in all, the data we do have postulates a number of mechanisms through which certain compounds in soy food stuffs may pose unwanted health complications. almost all notably when consumed in large quantities.

take the phytoestrogen genestein. research in a number of animal models suggests that whereas in small quantities regular consumption may be beneficial, at the very least it appears to be cardioprotective, in high as well as losing any beneficial properties, deleterious effects on immune function viability, programmed cell death (appoptosis) and DNA damage/repair have all been demonstrated.

as a health risk, some soy is probably nothing too worry about. moderation imo is never a vice. as James says  vary your food choices when and where you can and never rely on one food.

one thing for certain. there is nothing magic about the Calories in soy which will make you fat

Nothing in itself will make you fat or make you lose fat, it's just how you use it. Too many calories - you get fat.
