Sporting Highlights

this year we havent had any major sporting events ie Olympics, commonwealth games, football world cup, euro champs. rugby world cup

so what is the sporting highlight of the year so far?

liverpool in europe?
lance's 7th Tour de France?
Ricky's boxing victory?
henmans wimbledon?

ok the last one was a bit harsh

Armstrong winning the Tour again was a stand-out moment in one respect, but the Tour itself was pretty dull for the most part. Bangladesh beating the Aussies still stands out, as does Liverpool winning the Champions League.

For me it was Spurs beating Lyon 3-1 in the Final of the peace cup...it wasn't a huge event or anything, but for me it sparks the rebirth of a once great team and I'm excited about the new season

I would have to say liverpools champions league victory as no one really expected it i think. They had some real tough teams to overcome. As a man utd fan i appreciate how hard it is for a club to remain successful lol a struggle we still have at present.

Yeah gotta be liverpool, unbelievable stuff! I usually hate them but I couldn't help but cheer for them!

sparks the rebirth of a once great team and I'm excited about the new season

Rebirth? you don't think thats a bit optimistic? I mean its only a friendly and Lyon aren't anything special are they?
