Squash?

Probably me being thick but in the nutritional info on the back of most cordials says per 100ml diluted.

For instance Bottlegreen Apple & Plum has 7.2g sugar per 100ml diluted. So if i have a pint of squash that means it has approx 41g sugar. Is that right?

Seems a lot to me??

Yes. It's a cordial and cordials are made with sugar and fruit juice and are basically a concentrated syrup.. Liquid
    Jam!

    Ingredients list from their website:

Sugar, Cotswold spring water, Cox’s apple juice from concentrate (20%), plum juice from concentrate (20%), citric acid, natural flavourings. Preservative: sulphur dioxide. No artificial flavours, colours or sweeteners.

Nutritional per 100ml diluted 1:10 Energy (k joules) 124kj, Energy (k calories) 29kcal, Protein Nil, Total Carbohydrate 7.2g, Fat Nil, Sodium Trace

I drink sugar free squash. I know artificial sweeteners are controversial but sugar is the enemy!

Never tried bottlegreens.. £3 for a bottle of squash is alot

depends if you mix with the recommend amount of water.

Though 41g sugar does seem quite a bit for a pint.

If you have scales. just pour weigh it into your glass once to see how much you are using.
